Our Story
Clark Logic’s history begins in 1969, when Charles E. Clark and James E. Clark established Central Manufacturing Services (CMS) in Three Rivers, Michigan.
For more than 25 years, CMS enjoyed a successful partnership with its primary tenant, Continental Can, providing warehousing and inventory services. In 1996, however, Continental Can employees went on strike and the company terminated its contract with CMS just one week later, placing CMS at a major crossroads.
Having grown up immersed in the business, Jamie Clark, son of James E. Clark, left corporate America and returned home to work alongside his father. Together, they turned this defining moment into an opportunity to diversify, rebuild, and grow. Jamie purchased the company’s first truck and trailer, leading to the formation of CMS Logistics. He later launched iTrailer in 2009, founded CMS Green in 2011, and acquired J&L Xpress in 2013.
In 2015, Clark Logic was established to unify the company’s growing portfolio under a single flagship brand. Since then, the company has experienced significant and sustained growth, expanded its service offerings and real estate footprint. Clark Logic has also made several strategic acquisitions, including: Total Transportation Systems (2016), Team Manufacturing and Supply (2019), P&P Transportation Services (2022), Short Transit (2022), Lindsey Dedicated Services (2024), Midwest Realty Group (2024), Kandler Tool Company (2025), and EarthWorks Lawn & Landscape (2025). Today, Clark Logic offers a full suite of industrial services—from warehousing and logistics to transportation and more—and is widely recognized as a leading industrial real estate developer in Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. We build new, but we also take great pride in transforming out-dated or vacated facilities and giving new life to depleted industrial areas.
Our mantra "Looking into the Future" reflects our commitment to innovation and growth.
Where others see obstacles, we see opportunities.
